Amazon Prime Video has signed actor Irrfan Khan as the lead actor for its upcoming Indian Amazon Original – ‘The Ministry’. Created by Gursimran Khamba of AIB

The Ministry is a political satire set in contemporary India’s corridors of power and is set to launch globally in 2018 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. With this collaboration, Irrfan Khan is geared to leave yet another global imprint on Prime Video across 200 countries and territories.

It is the story of a washed-up narcissistic Bollywood actor who is unwittingly appointed as a placeholder Union Culture Minister. Despite a crippling bureaucracy, political gaffes and a team of misfits, he yearns to be loved by the masses once again.
