About Aarambh Serial on Star Plus
Acclaimed producer-director Goldie Behl, who is all set to launch his new show on Star Plus titled Aarambh which will be an epic historical drama. The show has been penned by Baahubali writer Vijayendra Prasad. It is understood that the writer Vijayendra Prasad has worked hard to get the finnest of details right by engrossing himself with hard-core research.
The upcoming show will be a infinite series which will consist of 100 episodes and will be directed by famous director Goldie Behl and it will be featured on a grand scale with opulent sets and outdoor shoots.
Aarambh story will showcase the centuries old drama of clashes between Dravidians and Aryans with Indus Valley Civilisation era as its backdrop.
Aarambh is being produced by Shristi Arya owned Production house Rose Audio Visuals that produced famous shows like Lipstick and Reporters in the past.
Star Cast
Popular actor Rajneish Duggal has been choosen in to play the male lead of Aarambh while actress Karthika Nair will be seen as the female lead. Karthika will portray the lead role of Devsena while Rajneesh will essay the role of a warrior called Varundev.
Rajneesh Duggal has been former Mr. India and is a renowned actor. Rajneesh was the winner of television reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 5. He was last seen in Bollywood movie ‘Wajah Tum Ho’.
The lead actress of Aarambh, Kartika Nair is called Devasena – the same name that Anushka Shetty had in Baahubali . The show features Karthika as the princess Devsena who portrays the throne of the matriarchal Dravidian Indian empire, while Tanuja plays the protector of the throne.
Karthika is famous actress who has acted in Tamil films like Po and Telugu film Naga Chaitanya. She has also done Malayalam films with the likes the Santosh Shivam. Though she did her higher studies from Mumbai, her mother and aunt are actresses from Tamil film industry. She is daughter of actress Radha and niece of South Indian actress Ambika. Her last film was Purampokku Engira Pothu Udamai with Arya and Shaam.
Talented actor Tarun Khanna has been roped for a lead role in Aarambh. Tarun, will play the leader of one of the clans and Rajneish will play his close friend and associate.
Tarun’s character will be of a deadly fighter and have a positive vibe. He will be looked up by all his associates and Rajneish’s character will consider him his elder brother.
Also, TV and Bollywood popular face Tej Sapru will play a special character in this show. Some of Tej’s films are Gupt, Mohra, Sirf Tum and Saajan. He is famous for his role in the television miniseries Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli and The Zee Horror Show.
According to latest reports, another popular Bollywood celebrity will be joining the star cast of Aarambh. Joy Sengupta, the talented theatre and movie actor will play a pivotal role in the show. Sengupta as we know, rose to limelight with Govind Nihalani’s movie Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa. He is known for his vast work in Hindi and Bengali movies. On TV he will be making a comeback after many years. His body of work in Hindi TV includes Waaris, made in the 1990’s, Mr. Gaayab to name a few.
Veteran Bollywood actress Tanuja’s role has been inspired by Ramya’s role of Rajmata in Bahubali. Tanuja was last seen in 9x’s Babban Bhai Vs Bimla Tai with Gaurav Gera. She was also seen as judge on Zee TV reality show Rock and Roll Family with daughter Kajol and son-in-law Ajay Devgn.
