Non-bailable Warrant Issued Against Rakhi Sawant By Court Again Due To Valmiki Controversy

A local court on Thursday issued a fresh non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Bollywood actor Rakhi Sawant in a case of allegedly hurting religious sentiments by her dishonouring comments against Bhagwan Valmiki.

Judicial magistrate Vishav Gupta issued the NBW against the actor. He adjourned the hearing to June 2.

Earlier in the first week of April, a Punjab Police team had rushed to Mumbai after the court had issued a NBW against Sawant on March 9. But the team could not find Sawant at her residence and returned empty-handed.

On April 17, Sawant withdrew her anticipatory bail application from the court of additional sessions judge Dinesh Kumar.

The case was filed following a complaint by local lawyer Narinder Adiya, who alleged that Sawant’s disrespectful remarks against Bhagwan Valmiki on a TV show on July 9, 2016 hurt the religious sentiments of the Valmiki community.

Rakhi Sawant’s lawyer however has a different thing to say. Justifying Rakhi Sawant, he has claimed taht Rakhi has not uttered anything about Valmiki and she has also unconditionally apologised to people who have been hurt.

Well, now that Rakhi Sawant has again fallen into a major legal blunder, we wonder what she has to say about this.
