Priyanka Chopra Heartly Misses Her Father After ‘Ventilator’ Wins Three National Awards!

Superstar Actress and producer Priyanka Chopra, whose first Marathi production venture ”Ventilator” has won three National Awards, says she made the film as a tribute to her late father, Lt. Col. Ashok Chopra.

”Ventilator”, a comedy-drama, won three awards in the catergories – Best Director for Rajesh Mapuskar, Best Editing for Rameshwar Bhagat abd Best Sound Mixing for Alok De respectively at the 64th National Film Awards, which were announced on Friday.

Priyanka Chopra happily tweeted – ”I’m so excited,happyand proud! Our first Marathi movie ‘Ventilator’ won not 1, not 2, but 3 National Awards”.Priyanka’s Mother ‘Madhu Chopra’ alongwith priyanka has produced the film under their home banner ”Purple Pebble Pictures”.

Priyanka also said – ”We made this film for my dad and I couldn’t have done it without Madhu Chopra and my production team! 75 speaking actors! Well done team. Congratulations Rajesh Mapuskar, Rameshwar Bhagat and Alok De”.

Ms. Chopra also shared a video of her father on Instagram, as as she heartly missed sharing her big moment with the man who made her dreams come true. She entitled it as, ”It’s the most incredible gift to be born to such wonderful parents. For making all my dreams come true and never letting me settle……My extremely talented,gifted, kind ”life of a party” father and my resilient, strong and gentle mother @madhuchopra who is also my producing partner for @purplepebblepicturs. I miss you so much dad. What an incredible voice. Always my inspiration. Sharing this throwback video with you all today because I really miss him…. and this void will always be my companion… presenting..My father…Late Dr. Ashok Chopra”.

The ”Ventilator” film, featuring filmmaker-actor Ashutosh Gowariker in the main role, narrates the story of a joint family whose eldest and the most respected person goes into a coma for few days before the Ganesh Chaturthi festival and is kept on a ventilator.
